My Hero

A deputy with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office died Friday night Feb 12, 2010, when his patrol car left the road and plunged into a creek off Carrollton-Tyus Road.

Dave Crawford, 54, was responding to a call when the Sheriff’s Office lost contact with him. His car was found overturned and partially submerged in the creek by officers who had been searching the area for him. Authorities believe he drowned.
